RECLAIM ROCK MUSIC. JANUARY 2007 FTA family! Happy New Year! Greetings and salutations from Spin Recording Studios, our new home away from home. No, we haven't forgotten about you, broken up or forsaken music altogether. On the contrary, Four Trips Ahead has been diligently completing our first full-length CD. Though the process has been long (just over a year now), we are extremely pleased with the results thus far. In the midst of countless rehearsals, writing songs, revamping lyrics, full blown arguments, late-night heart-to-heart discussions, changing studios, genius engineers, sleep deprivation, extra work hours to raise money for studio time, incensed cab drivers, long subway trips, too much take-out food, indiscriminate overweight pornographic photo session interruptions as well as lots of laughter and revelry, fifteen songs have been tracked with an eye for spring release. It will be a true representation of the FTA sound. We can't wait for you to hear it. In the meantime, Four Trips Ahead is returning to the live stage at the end of February. FTA will be appearing at CRASH MANSION (199 The Bowery at Spring Street) in Manhattan on WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 28TH at 8:30pm. We'll be introducing some of our new songs as well as playing a few of your favorites. Don't miss it! Drop us a line to RSVP or just to say hi at fourtripsahead@yahoo.com or myspace.com/fourtripsahead. Thanks for all of the loving and supportive e-mails over the past few months. It only helps reaffirm our passion for what we do. RECLAIM ROCK MUSIC in 2007. OCTOBER 2006 Greetings FTA supporters! It has been quite a while since we've spoken. During this past weekend, FTA entered the studio. Dan Walsh completed massive drum tracks for 12 songs with our producer and resident studio whiz, Nick Cipriano. Be patient folks, it will be worth the wait. SEPTEMBER 2005 Greetings FTA Family!!! We hope your summer was fun and productive. Four Trips Ahead has been busy rehearsing new material and planning our recording schedule for our first full-length release. We enter the studio in late October with the imitable Nick Cipriano for what promises to be our most ambitious effort yet. Excitement abounds in the FTA camp as we aim for a March 2006 release. In the meantime, Nick is hard at work mixing this summer?s acoustic performance at Dorian?s. From what we heard, the special vibe was definitely captured. JULY 2005
FTA devotees! Thanks for being so understanding regarding the strange power failure at Club 17 this
past week. Through your e-mails and phone messages, you seemed almost as disappointed as we were about our
cancellation. A big warm hug to those of you who didn't get the e-mail and showed up that night. We
promise to make it up to you. How you might ask? Four Trips Ahead will be playing two special shows for you in the coming weeks. FTA will have several new songs to debut for you and with all this pent up energy from having missed you this past month, it will definitely make for a hot evening. FTA's second show is unique. After rehearsing many of our songs these past few weeks with acoustic arrangements for college radio broadcasts, we've decided to make a night of it. UPCOMING GIGS
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 17TH: DORIAN'S ATTENTION JULY 12TH FTA GIG CANCELLED!!! Due to a bizarre power outage at Club 17 late the night before, Four Trips Ahead was forced to cancel the show. The club was unsuccessful in regaining electricity despite several attempts. No one was more disappointed than we were, especially with all th e new songs we prepared to unleash on all of you. Because of all the drama, Four Trips Ahead has scheduled another show: THURSDAY, JULY 28TH AT CRASH MANSION (THE BOWERY AT SPRING STREET) AT 9:00PM. We?ll miss you but it will make for an even sweeter reunion later on this month. In the meantime, if you haven?t already, check out our video clip in our Video section. Thanks for being patient. RECLAIM ROCK MUSIC. ******************* FTA Massive! Thanks for coming out to Underscore. We enjoyed playing our new songs for you. Perhaps the Upper East Side does rock?hmmm? The FTA promo clip is finally up on our website! Click on the VIDEO section and leave us feedback on the CONTACT link. Over the past few weeks, we?ve been busy sch eduling gigs and radio broadcasts. Last week, we had the pleasure of recording an acoustic session and interview with WSIA: the Radio Station of the College of Staten Island. Located at 88.9 FM on your dial, ?39th Street Lullabies? is in heavy rotation on their playlists. We?ll keep you posted on when the interview and live tracks will air! MAY 2005 FTA Supporters! We hope you've been well. Much has transpired in the last three weeks. Read on. The drama which unfolded at our last gig at Crash Mansion in late April was just the beginning. For all of you who attended, a great deal of anger and turmoil ensued due our set being cut suddenly. We were later informed that it came down to a conflict between promoters. However, in all the mess, we realized just how much we care about our music. We also recognized how truly wonderful all of you are. Instead of allowing the club to get away with their antics, you all demanded your money back at the door and made your complaints very clear to the management. : ) It was truly a special scene to behold: all of you clogging up the front of the venue, clearing most of the floor and bar while receiving your refunds. You can just imagine how the club felt when they couldn't allow anyone else in due to your actions while losing a hefty portion of their profits. We are proud of you and honored to have you as our fans. FTA salutes you. To make up for the incident, we've booked two additional shows with the promoter at 17, a new venue, and Crash Mansion during the summer. We'll have more details for you as we get closer to the dates, not to mention special concilatory offers for those of you who attended the Crash Mansion show in April, courtesy of the promoters of course. Smile. Even more exciting is our college radio promotions campaign which has progressed fabulously. We will be updating the stations who are currently spinning "39th Street Lullabies" as we arrange on-air performances and gigs throughout the East Coast and beyond over the summer. Did someone say Denmark? Hmmm... Finally, our short video has been completed! Jen Nedbalsky and Sara Reichel have done a bang-up job, capturing FTA in a very intimate and powerful way. The video will be up on our website by the end of the week. Please share your thoughts and comments with us. You know we love hearing from you. We can't wait to see you at our late June gig at Underscore. We have lots of new material to play for you. Our energy and enthusiasm are overflowing. Until then, FTA wishes you well. APRIL 2005 A big hug to everyone who came to see us play at the Cutting Room a few Saturdays ago. We sold many CDs and t-shirts and made a few new friends along the way (see photo gallery). We're gearing up for our big birthday gig at CRASH MANSION (199 the Bowery at Spring Street) on WEDNESDAY, APRIL 27th at 9:30pm. Besides the high energy show we're rehearsing for you, there will be cake and other goodies for your pleasure. Please contact us at fourtripsahead@yahoo.com for more information or to RSVP. A night not to be missed FTA devotees!!! RADIO AIRPLAY. These two words sum up what Four Trips Ahead has been working diligently on over the past few months and it's paying off. Check out our new "Radio" section for a list of the stations that have been playing selections from "39th Street Lullabies" on the air over the past few weeks. This list is growing steadily as our radio promotion co ntinues. We want to thank everyone that has been requesting "A Moment", "Complicated" and "Follow You Down" on the air. The support is much appreciated. Because of your support, FTA has charted in the top 30 on several stations including KLPI, WSIA and WUMD. You can contact these stations as well as the others listed on the website and let them know that you want to hear more FTA. Don't be shy...
